A vintage wooden tennis racquet is reimagined as an unexpected piece of coastal art, meticulously embellished by hand with an intricate collection of natural seashells.
From tiny limpets in brilliant shades of turquoise and sea green to scallops, spirals and sculptural shells, every element has been individually selected and arranged to celebrate its natural color, texture and form. The original racquet strings remain intact, preserving the character of the vintage piece while creating a beautiful contrast with the elaborate shellwork.
Touches of coral, blush, cream and ocean blue give the racquet an almost jewel-like quality, while the deep navy wrapped handle grounds the piece and nods to its sporting past.
